Beyond the Badge is a community forum to give voice to people like you.

If you are a current or former law enforcement employee who wants to share your own critical observations of policing, we would love to hear from you. We are not looking for finger pointing or good cop/bad cop stories. We are looking for testimonials about the structures and cultures which underpin that institution. And if you have better ideas about how you could serve your community through services that do not resemble the current policing paradigm, that would be monumentally helpful to this project and humanity alike.

The same goes for everyone else, supporters and critics alike. If you have a novel insight into policing, one that is not about accountability or reform and takes an understanding and compassionate approach, your participation is highly encouraged.

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
― R. Buckminster Fuller
